Deadlines for the 2022 UAW IEB election

Thu Oct 20, 2022: Starting on Monday of this week, ballots for the UAW 2022 IEB election have begun to be mailed to the home addresses of UAW members eligible to vote. Keep your eye out for these and do not throw them away. Ballots must be received by 11/28/22 in order to be counted; therefore you shuld plan to mail your ballot no later than 11/18/22. The tabulation process will commence on 11/29/22, with observers present as prescribed by the election rules.

UAW Candidate Forum videos available online

Tue Oct 11, 2022: Pursuant to the Candidate Forum Rules, the UAW Election Monitor conducted voluntary forums last months for candidates running for the offices of International President, International Secretary-Treasurer, and International Vice President. Recordings of the forums, which were livestreamed and open for public viewing, are now available on the Monitor’s website and the UAW website.

Thu Aug 18, 2022: Our Massachusetts primaries are coming up on Tuesday, September 6. The Local 2324 office team has prepared an info sheet with guidance for checking your registration status, making sure you’re ready to vote, and navigating the enormous volume of information out there about candidates and campaigns. Call for Participation: Young Workers Institute

Tue Aug 16, 2022: The UAW Young Workers Institute will take place this year from October 2-7 in Onaway, MI. This week of training and fellowship is designed to help Union members 18-35 grow their activism and enhance their involvement in their Local. Delegates will participate in workshops related to UAW structure, how to engage in union meetings, understanding bargaining and strikes, and the grievance procedure. The registration deadline is 9/6; members interested in attending should contact the L.2324 office without delay. Click here to read the full call letter.

Nominations for Constitutional Convention Delegates

Sun May 22, 2022: The Election Committee has announced the opening of the nomination period for Delegates and Alternates for the 2022 UAW Constitutional Convention to take place in July in Detroit. Members in good standing since March 31, 2022 are eligible to serve and automatically nominated; members wishing to be considered for one of these offices must accept their nomination by contacting the Election Committee by 5 PM on Saturday May 28th. Triennial Election Results

Sat May 21, 2022: The Election Committee has issued a memo informing members of the results of the Local’s Triennial Election, following the close of the Nomination Period on May 10th and the close of the extended Nomination Period for the role of Vice President on May 17th.
